Every student living in the college gets his/her own locker located in the basement of the respective blocks. Lockers are the main storage places where students can store their things during the academic year. They are essentially useful over summer break as students have to empty their rooms. Even big items like couches, carpets and shelves can be fit in the locker easily. Please be reminded that lockers are susceptible to floodings during heavy rainy season. Therefore, you are advised to go through the usage tips to make sure that your stored items in the lockers are safe.

Bikes should be parked either at the bike stands or in the bike rooms located in the basement of all blocks. Please do not leave any bikes at the entrances or in the corridors for fire safety.

Some usage tips for lockers:

• Lock your lockers properly after use to prevent any theft.
• Do not store any valuables or electronics in the lockers.
• Do not leave your jackets/suits on hangers in lockers.
• Pack your clothes/books properly in suitcases or cartons before storing them in lockers.
• Do not leave anything on the floor. College office provides some wooden pallets which can be used as a base.
• Jacobs University or Mercator College have no liability to any kind of theft or damage to items stored in the lockers.
